My newly Americanized friend was telling me latest info from the “grapevine” re: the N. This latest bit of news made me laugh, joyously. (Sorry if you think I’m a heartless *#!^>. Obviously you haven’t been paying attention.)
My friend said, “What do you think of that?!” I replied with, “I warned him. It just goes to show you, Karma’s a *#!^>!” My friend looked puzzled; he still hasn’t “gotten it” from last time. He said, “I don’t think I’ve ever met Karma, does she work downtown?”
I’ve got to build the curriculum for “Colorful American Sayings 101.” Then I guess I will have to petition to have it as required coursework. I don’t think my friend is the only one who thinks “Karma” is a woman with attitude, who works at corporate.
