….after a stress filled three day weekend, Sam returns to school this past Tuesday. I call the school’s main office along with 100 + other concerned parents. We’re told the case is viral and not bacterial…at this point.
The advice nurse at the pediatrician’s office and I have a friendly chat…I learn that if it indeed was Bacterial Meningitis, the local health department would have called everyone concerned.
Children in my son’s class share and tell what their favorite brand/scent of hand sanitizer is. The school’s drinking fountains remain dry, as every child has his or her own bottle of water.
Ironically, a question on Cash Cab’s Red Light Challenge this week is to name the top 5 bottled waters. Kirkland was my number one answer.
I am relieved to report that currently everyone of the 6th graders are healthy.
On the other hand my husband has managed to get one _____ cold.
This would not be an issue provided he had a spleen….
We now have a delightful array of OTC and prescription medications lining the kitchen shelf. Let’s hear it for Zithromax!
Mommy flashback: When Sam watched Sesame Street, one of it’s sponsors was a new antibiotic. Sam didn’t equate the letter “Z” with Zebra, Zoo, Zigzag, or Zany. Nope. He would tell anyone who would listen…”Z is for Zithromax!”
I’m so glad Sam is healthy! Hope your husband feels better.
I’m putting you in charge of the pharmaceutical ABCs. “P” is for Prozac! Glad you’re all okay or getting there…
