I was in the store today with my youngest son. We were in the valentine decoration aisle….Who knew there was so many decorating / gift ideas for this day of love?
I asked Sam if his 6th grade class going to have a Valentine’s Day party? Would we need to purchase valentines cards?
He didn’t know.
I should just ask his female “frienemy” who sits next to him in class.
We looked through the boxes of kid’s valentines. There were Hannah Montana, Transformers, Indiana Jones & Cars. Spider man, Batman, Superman….all the super heroes seemed to be represented. NASCAR, Harry Potter, Shriek & Sponge Bob. Cats, (actual cats…not Andrew Lloyd Weber’s “Cats”) Bratz, puppies and kittens.
High School Musical…I…II….VIII….(just kidding.)
I said to Sam, “Do you see one that you would like?”
He thought about it for a second and said, “No, they don’t have ‘Saw V’!”
(Before I get mail about my son’s movie viewing habits, the scariest movie he’s ever seen was Johnny Depp in “Sleepy Hollow.”)
There was a photograph that I REALLY wanted to use for this post, but I didn’t have permission. The author’s name is Stuart Mac Bride. He’s located in Scotland. Read his post entitled “Twice Shy” dated February 15, 2008. When you see his art work you’ll understand why. We love “Zombie Valentine.” You can click on the link to him on the right side of my blog.
