I was wandering in a local craft store and found this sign.
It is perfect for so many posts re: The N.
As the sign says – How indeed? The sign above this one is barely visible – but it fits too…”Give Thanks!”
I do every single day.

Mine has not gone away–I must ‘co parent’ with mine….mmmm.
Cynthia: I’m sorry you have to have continued contact. The people I know with children with an N – make a point to only discuss visit dates, homework…only things relating to care of the children.

Haha. I like to tell my students, “I can’t miss you until you’re gone!” But if we’re talking about a N, then it’s good riddance. It’s like missing that awful pimple you had on prom night.
How true, the awful zit or an unsightly rash – we’re so glad when it is gone for good.

Wanna know a way to (funnily) frighten away an N? π … well, I just remembered smthng quite amusing concerning what my ex-Mr.N used to steer clear of … just like cat and water! π
Here it goes: My N used to get EXTREMELY annoyed (he even claimed headache, the poor-darling! :D) when people got too talkative (he probably prefered to listen to the sound of HIS own stony presence instead! :D) … well, there happend to be a casual acquaintance (of my N) who was a VERY chatty old man (he’d keep ANYONE engaged in endless conversations about anything and nothing at all!) … and whenever my N happened to see this talkative man (even from a long distance), he’d be wishing to hide away and not to be seen by him … claiming that the chatterbox would hook him in endless chit-chat with no chance of running away from the endless blabber! π … must be wonderful to (unknowingly) get to be a N-scarecrow!!! π π π π π π .. I just so wish I was a talking m.! π π π
Of course he didn’t like the chatty man, he wasn’t talking about himself or being the centre of attention. If someone else is yabbering away, the n won’t like that as it’s not all about him!
Elisse, I love your N Christmas song post. I’ve been having fun inserting ‘me’ for ‘you’ in songs – like ‘Everything I do I do it for Me’ (Bryan Adams)
A few others – MJ – ‘I’m looking at the man in the mirror, and I’m liking what I see”
The Buzzcocks ‘Ever Fallen in Love with someone?’ No just myself
‘I can see clearly now the n fog has gone’ – Johnny Nash
I could go on all day!
Very Fun! I like the “I can see clearly now the N fog is gone…” I am going to be singing it all day.
